Retro Experience Center

You can jump in a Lada and travel back to Socialist Hungary to drive around the 10-story buildings. See for yourself (and taste it too!) what Bertalan Farkas took into space in 1980, or you can try out as a newscaster in front of the cameras in a retro Hungarian news studio.

If you grew up in the late ’80s, you can relive it, and the younger generations can now understand the lives of their grandparents and all the weird stuff in the kitchen; they had no idea how they worked! After the museum, you can also try our bistro, where we offer a variety of retro foods and beverages. For example, you can try the most famous Hungarian summer drink, Bambi, or cool yourself down with a Kőbányai beer. For lunch or dinner, we serve sandwiches, hot dogs, and flat bread, and for sweets, you can see if you remember the taste of the Turbó bubblegum or the rooster-shaped lollypop.
